About

My name is Peter Grant, I am 24, living in Oxford, England, working full time as a Design Engineer for Williams F1 and this is my blog about my development as a photographer.

It all started with my Dad’s Panasonic FX30. It turned out however, that he wasn’t much of a photographer, to my gain. After a while, I bought my own Canon 400D and kept it for 3 years. I took it almost everywhere with me; up mountains, on trains, through stations, underground and up in the sky.

Studying and living in Oxford gave me no excuses for creating images. Overtime It was clear that I preferred candid photographs taken on the street. Being adventurous, or mad, I sold all my digital equipment and bought a Leica M6, some film and a scanner. Having never shot or developed film before, it was a jump into the unknown. I feel the results speak for themselves.

Having graduated, I spent a year gardening, volunteering and making photographs. I then got a job and sold everything again as I couldn’t justify the time and cost of film. I decided to buy myself a Fuji X100,  which leads to now….
